Lock is missing or unlocked at pick up

In these cases, simply click “Pick-up Freetrailer” (as usual) in our app, and then report the open/missing lock under “lock and lockbox”.

In case you completed the pick-up without reporting the error, please email us as soon as you notice the error. You can use your booking ID as reference and please attach a picture (if applicable) and email us at:

We will take note of your booking, and inform our service team. 

Should you find a regular lock (key, code) on one of our Freetrailers, something is wrong. During our partner’s opening hours, see if perhaps they have mounted the lock, and see if you can get a key from them. This type of lock should not be used when returning the Freetrailer again. In this case, you should return the lock to the store and return the trailer unlocked. 

Outside our opening hours, please return the trailer in our app, and send us a message, using your booking number as a reference, and remember to add a photo. We will of course remove any incorrect charges.
