A new analysis by digital product company Framna shows that Freetrailer has established a strong position among Denmark’s mobility apps. According to the Mobile App Trends Report 2026, 15% of Danish men and 8% of Danish women have the Freetrailer app installed on their smartphones.
In the report, Freetrailer appears alongside well-known mobility apps such as BroBizz, Bilbasen, Clever, and Kørekortet – digital services that all share a common purpose: making transportation and mobility easier in everyday life.
The findings reflect a broader shift in how Danes use mobile apps. While smartphones were once primarily associated with communication and entertainment, they are increasingly becoming practical toolkits filled with digital services that people rely on whenever a specific need arises.
This is one of the key conclusions of the Mobile App Trends Report 2026. The report highlights that the apps users value most are not necessarily the ones they open several times a day, but the ones that help them solve a specific task quickly and effortlessly.
That makes installation rates particularly relevant for an app like Freetrailer. Most people do not need a trailer every day, but when they do—whether for moving house, tackling a DIY project, visiting the recycling centre, or transporting large purchases—they expect the solution to be readily available on their phone.
The fact that 15% of Danish men already have the Freetrailer app installed demonstrates that many users choose to keep it on hand, even if they only use it occasionally. Much like BroBizz, Kørekortet, and other mobility apps, Freetrailer has become a digital service that is ready whenever a transportation need arises.
The analysis also points to further growth potential. While 15% of Danish men have the app installed, the figure is 8% among Danish women, indicating an opportunity to raise awareness of the many everyday situations where access to a trailer can make life easier.
Framna’s analysis also reveals clear differences in app adoption between men and women. Women are more likely to have apps related to retail, membership benefits, and lifestyle installed, while mobility, technology, and transportation apps are more prevalent among men. Freetrailer’s position among Denmark’s leading mobility apps underlines that it has become a natural part of everyday life for a growing number of Danes.
